   Hello, I have a laptop that has confidential files on it. I would like to encrypt the SAM database with syskey. The merely problem is that syskey got discontinued with windows 10 1709. Is it possible to add together syskey to windows 10 1909 even though information technology is discontinued? I have bitlocker enabled on my laptop. One of my friends was somehow able to unlock my laptop without my password or recovery key and view my wifi passwords and Google Chrome passwords. My question is can syskey be implemented into windows x 1909 so he can't easily view my passwords. I empathise syskey encryption is not secure. In my opinion it would be harder to crack if I used a 20 character password.

   I activated SysKey (and have the countersign) on an early version of Windows 10 (1703). Because Syskey is no longer supported I cannot upgrade to the latest version. Will windows refresh remove the syskey and is it the best process for removing Syskey
   and starting with a clean slate.

   so I tried to disable syskey but guess I did something wrong and it asked me to change my syskey which I don't call back now... and now I can non use my laptop at all.. all I tin can do is try to put Syskey countersign and after iii attending or takes me to repair
   PC and all the steps and o tried to reset my laptop and it completes the process but know the finish on a black screen all I get is few dots going in a roundward movement .

   SyskeyHi once more, Sorry I am seeming to misunderstand. I need a bit of description, should I disable syskey past that method beginning and then utilise bitlocker? Or simply use bitlocker instead of messing with syskey? Will using Bitlocker disable the use of syskey altogether?
   Just want to exist sure most this procedure. I have never enabled syskey on this arrangement then using bitlocker instead is the way to go? I accept windows 10 home 1703 build (15063 632) Is bitlocker usable on home edition?
